Magpie

This one is getting quite tame ..or at least I presume it's the same one visiting the garden and getting close every time.

Re: Magpie

Nice shot, Mart. Here if a Magpie sees me, it's off.

Great Photo! Beautiful birds - but with nasty habits.

Re: Magpie

We had one walk indoors a few years ago. It looked to be a very big bird then! It got spoofed as soon as I went near it. It was very afraid and showed it by doing some droppings here and there. It broke a few ornament while flapping around too. I threw an old towel over it in the end, bundled it up and took it outside. As it flew away, I'm sure the bird was as grateful as I was that it was out of the house.

Re: Magpie

Great photo Mart....

Have you noticed how many Magpies there are these days?
When I was a lad it was a special occasion to see a Magpie or a Jackdaw, especially in your garden.
And we never saw a Pigeon except a wood pigeon out in the wilds; Now they are all over the place....

Re: Magpie

Don't forget to say, "Good morning Mr. Magpie, how's your wife?" or there'll be bad luck befalling you.
