That does sound tasty, Jean! Thanks, I've forwarded it to a friend who's looking for a new way to use up a surplus of apples.

Jean I make something quite similar but would call them Drop scones or Scotch pancakes with toffee butter apples

We used to get a lot of power cuts here and I could make them in a heavy bottomed pan on a camping gas stove which I keep for emergencies. To be really indulgent serve with clotted cream

Thanks Jean, mmm they sound yummy

Meg - did you have to mention 'clotted cream'? I just love it, not that I have it that often.

Jean, they sound delicious. We have a lot of apples from our two trees here so I think I willl have a go at this. I hope it works because our apples are horrible. Not firm or tart enough for cooking, they go to a mush in seconds and too hard and tasteless to eat.
Carmen, I have my own tub of cream in the fridge. The dietician advised it to add weight and every so often I take a big spoonful, yummy!
