Close to manufacturing ventilators

Gtech say they are close to production after 24 hour testing, also RDM automotive and McLaren. The government estimates we urgently need 30,000 ventilators. Gtech say they should be able to produce a thousand per day.

I'm sure there will be other companies following suit so well done to the designers and engineers for responding so well.

Yes, very well done.

The U.S. has a much lager population (363 million) and Pres Trump has ordered 200, 000 new ventilators. The "Big Three" auto makers have responded and they are mass producing ventilators as we speak.

Britain is a nation who always rise to the challenge.

Very proud to be British seeing this level if innovation on such a huge scale. We are a nation of "men in sheds"

Re: Close to manufacturing ventilators

Hi

We have a large aerospace manufacturing company here, less than a mile away.

Their orders have collapsed, they are working overtime to produce parts for ventilators.

They are a high precision manufacturing outfit, they have the machinery and skilled operatives to do this.

Their Quality Control is excellent, it takes longer to test the parts than it does to produce them.

Hi

They are working flat out, they produce the actual pumping mechanism.

It needs to be tested to the same standards as aircraft fuel and hydraulic pumps.

Dangerous to have anything less.

We have a huge shortage of Medical Technicians to repair them.

Far better to have something you can plug and forget.
