.......We should all get a refund on the road tax duty we have paid if we aren’t allowed out for the next three months or so!

Why are some people considering about whats in it for me.... we are in a global crisis for goodness sake lets not all get caught up in compensation possibilities. In the end whatever is paid out will have to be paid by us ,.... the tax payers

The government are trying to keep us alive.
Corona virus is not it's fault.
UK plc could well be bankrupt by the time this is over.
This is not the time to penny pinch and try to take advantage.
Those of us that can manage should do so without complaint.
We need to support those that can't as a priority.
Time to give what we can if we can, not try to take advantage of the crisis.

Nice idea but wouldn't work. There would be nothing stopping him from loaning or renting "under the table"to a third party.

This is already available to us Artangel. It's called a SORN (statutory off road notice). You can download it from the DVLA website.

I think we're in for some really difficult times, I can't work at the minute because of the virus, it's stopping a lot of stuff getting done, now although I work for a large company, I work through an agency, so technically I'm self employed, so no money coming in, if my wife has to go off and we have no money coming in then what about the rent? The council sold everything off to one of those 'not for profit charities', if you miss 2 weeks they threaten to evict you, they're talking about suspending business rates for businesses that have to close, but what about people like me, or those who pay a mortgage, what do we do when we can't pay!
