Jimmy Savile has died at the age of 84. Police are currently outside his home in Leeds but no details have been released as of yet.

Oh dear, Jimmy will be missed. Some of us will have known him from our teens on Top of the Pops, then years later when our own children watched Jim'll Fix It. I knew he did a lot for Stoke Mandeville Hospital but not that he donated so much to charity. What a trooper.RIP Jimmy

We used to pass Stoke Manderville hospital on the school bus and he was often seen jogging along the A4010 in a gold tracksuit and carrying a bucket! People would be throwing money out of cars for his helpers to pick up.. I wasn't a fan of the tv celeb but I did admire Jimmy the fundraiser
