One Fat Canadian Goose

This is one of a family of four Canadian geese that visit our apartment complex each year to raise their young. They fit in well with our resident Mallard population that stays with us all year. I look forward to the adult geese stopping by and havin 2-3 goslings each year. The chicks grow incredibly fast and are only slightly smaller than their parents right now. Since they return each year they know they're safe with us and come running just like the ducks. All four geese were within 10 feet of me when I singled out this plump specimen.

How could I take the parent away from their offspring? I'm not that poor.

Great shot Bob!

They must be fairly tame now, being regular visitors to your complex.

They are the most tame wild geese I've ever seen.

Here's another fat Canadian Goose which I took at a place called Orrell Water Park, about 15 minutes drive from where I live. They are indeed very tame.

No, that was taken in February 2008 and it was a freezing cold day. I don't like goose to eat at all.
