Life is Worthless!!!

How can anyone just walk passed another human being or any of Gods creatures for that matter and not help them?
Life means nothing in China and this has to come from the way the country treats it's people and indoctrinates them.
What are you opinions.

Apparently, if you read the reports about the incident. Although it does appear harsh and heartless of the passers by. They do have their reasons for doing nothing."Many people in China are hesitant to help people who appear to be in distress for fear that they will be blamed. High-profile lawsuits have ended with good Samaritans ordered to pay hefty fines to individuals they sought to help."

Regardless of the law or any danger to oneself the majority of people would rush to the aid of an injured child

This clip makes me sick to watch, but the two year old in the dark on a busy street, and the mother takes eight minutes to notice she's missing! The finder and the mother don,t know how to treat a road traffic accident victim and unwittingly add to her injuries.It's so sad but not that long ago in China we all witnessed what was happening with girl babies in large numbers! I wonder if that attitude is still as prevalent? Poor child. Sadly though China is certainly not the only country that doesn't care much. There is a small charity in Cyprus called Face run by an expat British nurse who is frankly a saint, she has set up orphanages in Cairo for years, for abandoned babies the first she found on a rubbish tip! It's a terrible story but she has worked many a miracle. She will tell you that in so many countries life is non existent for babies. It's shocking for us in the West, but I fear it won,t change.

That is sickening, I would have thought any decent human being would have rushed to that poor little girl's aid immediately. How on earth could anyone one turn a blind eye to an injured child ..... laws or no laws I certainly could not totally ignore and do nothing.Remind me, we are in the 21st century aren't we?

Nothing to do with China being a Socialist Republic AB - a lot of the South East Asian countries regard life very cheaply - its part of their culture - even BEFORE they became Socialist Republics.Yes its deplorable that so many walked past, but as others have already commented that too is part of their culture because they do not want to 'get involved'.
And before you start casting the first stone AB, there are many instances of deplorable practices and ignoring children in danger in our own culture too - Baby 'Peter' coming immediately to mind but there are many, many others!!!
