Lipstick Kisses. (Dedicated To My Mother)
Lipstick kisses, one by oneLipstick kiss, when the day is done
Just how much love, did that kiss hold?
That lipstick kiss, was made of gold!
And sometimes when i can hardly speak
I feel that kiss, upon my cheek
It warms my heart, and warms my soul
That lipstick kiss, will never grow old
The love she had, the love she gave
Will be with me unto my grave
And yet, i know, if she were here
She would plant a lipstick kiss upon each tear
No one can know, none can tell
How that lipstick kiss, was loved so well!
A kiss, to brighten each new day
A kiss, to take the pain away
A kiss, that took away my fear
The kiss that said "I love you dear"

What a sweet poem. I too had a great mom. She was my best friend. She suffered through colon cancer, liver cancer, endometrial cancer and finally bone cancer over 10 yr. span. She was brave, funny, loving, caring and my best friend. She died one month before her 65th birthday in 1994. I miss her so much. Even more this day.Thanks for sharing. It's great to honor the woman who not only loved you, but without demand and condition. <3
