Jean
Had a 'phone call from Jean yesterday morning - she had had a 'rough' night and was feeling very unwell with stomach cramps. Later yesterday (Saturday) Jean 'phoned and told me she had spoken to Doctor and was about to head to hospital with suspected Gall stones. Late last night Jean's daughter 'phoned and told me that Jean was being kept in hospital with suspected Appendicitis and that they may operate sometime during the night. Jean's daughter will be keeping me appraised and I will 'phone and find out more later this morning.
Please pass on my good wishes for a speedy recovery.
thank you for letting us know , if you speak to Jean's daughter again please can you tell her Jean's friends on 50s are thinking of her and wishing her a speedy recovery and return home.xx

Update: Have received 'phone call from Jean's daughter (Bronagh) 10 minutes ago - Jean underwent surgery early (circa 2.30am) this morning for Appendicitis. Regrettably for infection control, hospital no longer allows flowers to be sent, so will have to think of something else.Thank you everyone for your good wishes - as and when I can speak to Jean I will pass them on to her personally. In the meantime have told Bronagh that I have informed you all and that you are thinking of her.

Further update: - Jean has her mobile 'phone with her and the hospital allow use of mobiles - have spoken to Jean a little while ago - and whilst feeling a bit sore and delicate is obviously feeling a bit better and a bit brighter than yesterday. Have told her about your messages and she asks me to thank you all.
