Slept for over 10 hours last night (rare for me.) dreamed of London and my old mates. Woke and went on YouTube to play some tunes and came across a bit of Old London History and a lot more, of remembrance of the old days.









Anybody got any memory's they have come across they may want to add to this thread please do.
Anywhere in the world on anything I ain't bovvered.
They won't be wasted I will look at them all.
Love history perhaps its an age thing.

Yes, l remember the earls court car shows every year, and also
Tomorrows world with Alan Whicker l think it was?
And also the annual machine tool exhibition in Olympia!
All from days when Britain made things!
And what about the gloss painted ceilings of pubs with globules of
nocotine waiting to drop down your neck? and saucers and plates
in resturaunts filled with dog-ends after meals?
When craftsmen earned more than the office staff, oh l could go on
forever!

I love a bit of history Dongles, but maybe just a touch further back... 2 to 3 thousand years perhaps...

I worked in London in the 60's.There always seemed to be a strike going on.I had to walk from Paddington to Farringdon for about a fortnight at one time.Really got to know the place.Loved it.
