Yet another newbie

I found this forum earlier, thought it seems like a nice place, so decided to join.

I'm into most things, so you'll probably see me posting all over the place...especially on the threads that have something to do with gardens, houses, anything mechanical, (especially cars, motorcycles).

I wonder if any of you know what my user name means?

We should get along very well together, especially as our names are in a way connected!

No doubt Google is going to be overloaded now!

Re: Yet another newbie

Hello Lupara welcome, I look forward to chatting with you.
Your name I guess is connected in some way to the latin word for wolf. I think I have also come across a similar word in a novel written by Mario Puzo

Re: Yet another newbie

Morticia is saying nothing!

Morticia's googling skills must leave a lot to be desired ...for I got .... on Wiki

Lupara is an Italian word used to refer to a sawn-off shotgun of the break-open type. It is traditionally associated with Cosa Nostra, the Italian organized crime group dominant in Sicily for their use of it in vendettas, defense—such as its use against Mussolini's army when he decided to break up the Sicilian mafioso network—and hunting.

So .. do we call you Godfather or will Wolfie do on full moons?

Hello Lupara

I think you'll really enjoy this forum so welcome.

I guessed that Lupara is taken from the Latin word lupus, meaning wolf so, is you a wolf in sheep's clothing?
