Fig Preserve

I bought a jar of Fig Preserve in Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago, only because I'd never seen it in the shops before.

I had it on toast this morning for the first time and can definitely recommend it........ it's very moreish!

They also sell a Pear Preserve, something else I haven't tried before, so that's next on my list to try.

It's strange really as I'm not usually a jam eater but the thought of fig jam intrigued and tempted me

Re: Fig Preserve

I'd never heard of fig preserve, Mags. I generally don't care for preserves, prefer jam. Glad you're enjoying it. I'm having little fig bar cookies with my tea tonight......

Not something I've noticed either, but looks interesting and will add it in my next shopping list.

Re: Fig Preserve

Bought a jar today Mags, and you're right it's scrummy and very moreish, thanks.

Noticed though that once opened has to be consumed within 4 weeks - that shouldn't be too much trouble though.

Glad you like it, Carmen - it's so scrummy that I tend to spread it thicker ....... that way it doesn't last 4 weeks!
