Wet Sunday

Good morning everyone

The rains have been torrential all night which we did get a warning about on our walk, with the Rooks, Cows, Crows all restless and noisey, this mornings walk was similar so I suppose it is going to rain all day long. Dark clouds with no break in them are hovering above ready to offload their contents.

Nothing planned for today yetbut the day is young. I do know that lunch with friends is at some local establishment as it has been arranged for a couple of weeks but the rest of the day could be spent with a book.

Have a great day whatever you decide to do but spare a moment or to thinking of those less fortunate than us who have to spend time in a foreign land away from their loved ones.

Re: Wet Sunday

Morning everyone from a sunny Sherwood, where all is well with the world as, once again, I have woken up still breathing...

Visiting relatives for lunch and then off to Clumber Park for a meeting of the regional Cockerpoo Club I didn't even know there was such a thing until yesterday, when Mrs PM found it online....

Whatever you choose to do, have a great day yourselves..

Re: Wet Sunday

Good morning all damp and chilly here this morning though the sun is trying to come out.
I thought there might have been some mushrooms , there haven't been any, there are usually dozens at this time of year. I guess it is because it has been so dry.
I usually collect some when taking Chloe for her early walk and have them on toast. Free bounty always has a special taste .

Off to face the ironing while listening to the Archers.
Have a lovely day everyone

Re: Wet Sunday

Not too good down here today, wet and windy. The sun peeks out briefly but not for long. We had planned to go to a kite festival at Hengistsbury Head with the five grandchildren, all been looking forward to it for a fortnight. Hey, ho, stuck indoors with the paints and playdough......

Re: Wet Sunday

Good afternoon all, wet and windy here today but you get used to it I suppose, it's a case of having to. It's a big day in Dublin today, the Dublin gealige football team play in the all Ireland final, they haven't won it in 16 years!. My Daughter, Son, and their gangs will all be here cheering for Dublin, so a hectic but happy day ahead.
Have a good time Folks, you deserve it.

Re: Wet Sunday

Hello all a blustery, wet morning and the temperature has struggled to reach 13ºC.

We've had our granddaughter with us this morning as she hates standing around in the wet weather watching her younger brother play football. She had a Sunday roast with us, now her dad has just picked her up and taken her home. Her parting words were "That's much better than watching football, Nan" ....

Hope everyone has a pleasant day despite the weather...

Re: Wet Sunday

Cloudy and still very unseasonable; a bit past 10:45 and only 15 C (59 F); had on my wool hat when I went out to pick grass! I wonder when they turn on the heat here in the building? Soon, I hope if this keeps up.... Leia took a playful spell after breakfast chasing and killing her jingly ball; she's resting up in the window now. All's quiet here.

Sounds rather dank and gloomy on your side of the Pond; hope it clears soon with lots of sun. Barry, enjoy the Cockerpoo club! Mags, I agree with Katie, anything is better than watching football!

Enjoy ... we're alive and breathing!
