Perhaps all the Welsh people were descended from caimans with an extra long tongue so they can pronounce all the place names......

I have to own up and say I have never heard of a Caiman. Interesting story though.

I wondered when first seeing it but there are two spellings of that – Caiman and Cayman, apparently. I knew the second spelling but not the one used in the news item.

I read this earlier today. It's one prime example of how myths and legends start.. mostly with a degree of truth.

Hope he wasn't buried alive.
