Sentimental journey

Last night was quite enjoyable on TV watching one love of my life perform.
Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff was on TV most of the night which brought back a lot of happy memories. Apart from being in love with her( like millions of others) I loved her music and saw most of her films.

When did you last go on a nostalgic Sentimental Journey?

Who did you have a crush on as a youngster?

Re: Sentimental journey

Ab my sister used to love Doris Day and even used to dress and have her hair cut like her.
I am afraid she wasn't my cup of tea too 'goody goody' for Meg the rebel

When did you last go on a nostalgic Sentimental Journey?
..last week when I made the mistake of looking on Google at a place in which I had once lived with my late husband in the 70's. I found it had to be rebuilt after burning to the ground in 2007 . It certainly proved to have been an unlucky place for me, my husband became very ill there three weeks after our son was born changing the course of my life completely.

Who did you have a crush on as a youngster?
Oh many people actors mostly like Christopher Lee in Dracula, and my sisters boyfriend

Re: Sentimental journey

I used to love all films starring Doris Day, she had a wonderful voice and such an enchanting smile.

My 'heartthrob' of my earlier years was Rossano Brazzi.... I first saw him in "Three coins in a fountain" and "South Pacific" and was totally bewitched by his bottom lip!

A terrible crush on a rather obscure movie actor, Helmut Dantine. Any one else remember him?

Here you go, Mags! He was in Mrs Miniver, one of my all time favorite movies.

Re: Sentimental journey

As I said, he was rather obscure, but a hunk nontheless!
He was the German flyer in Mrs Miniver, and a bit part in Casablanca .......
