Re: Duvet

I have a duvet it's 4.5 tog I buy a cheap new one every year those paper type ones they are a bit like jay cloths ...I don't think you can wash them.

Actually I have an expensive goose down one but it's packed away because it's so hot even in winter.

Duvets will smell if you allow your pets on them, especially at night.

Re: Duvet

Tony hates duvets so we stick to Egyptian cotton sheets, a blanket (or more in winter) and a top throw.

His theory is if you get hot you can throw one blanket off & still be covered but with duvets it's all or nothing.

Personally I don't care either way so I go along with what he wants.

El-cheepo duvet. Thin now, thicker in the winter. We buy from Asda or Lidl and scrap at least four times a year.

Re: Duvet

I always have a sheet under my duvet, then I can still throw back or remove the duvet if necessary.

Blimey,TAT....I couldn't afford to do that...I wash my double one in the bath, with my feet..

Just recently,as my dog wee on it...I don't allow them on the bed any more, after that...

Well..maybe for a week...then I may change my mind.

Yes I know...it's unhygienic .
