Weird would not be an issue - it suggests that there is a personality there.Looking at your locations, the distance might be a problem!
What i'm trying to get my head round is having a friend to meet, dine with, and then go our ways.
If that worked it might develop into separate rooms on a holiday, or whatever.
Just companions.
Hope you get my drift.

You meet and greet. Social encounters face to face. I'm happily married going om twenty years. When I was about to retire I said to my dear wife I'd like a dog - a collie. She found Max at a rescue centre. We walk a lot and have social interaction with others. My dear wife says that I flirt with the lady dog walkers. Possibly true....
