Feeling Old

I have just finished a week looking after my 3 Grandchildren aged 5, 11 and 13 and I had forgotten how exhausting it was trying to keep kids entertained when the weather is bad, and also how very expensive,
Today I feel all of my 63 years and now I'm off to bed to recover!!!

Re: Feeling Old

Hello from another newbie

Lol.....aren't they supposed to keep you feeling young?

I know where you're coming from though and I've only got one grandchild (another on the way)

The great thing about Grand children is that you can enjoy them and then send them back and relax, much better than having them all of the time.

It's good that you have got grandchildren to spend some time with BUT you can have too much of a good thing.

I really love them to bits and really look forward to them visiting but it's nice when they go home too, then of course it's too quiet - we're never satisfied are we

Re: Feeling Old

Hi Anne I know the feeling when I have had twins now 17 months old.
I dare not take my eyes off them for a moment and feel exhausted after I have had them. But I love every moment and enjoy it to the full knowing this time in their lives will pass very quickly

Re: Feeling Old

I am having my five more during the school holidays, love them all to bits but find the age differences (2 to 9) hard work. They won't want to come to me as often when they are older so cherish these times.
