One of my sons and his family are back home from a week in London. They left London a few days before it all kicked off and how relieved I am. Turning on the tv news this morning and seeing London burning I could hardly believe what I was watching it made me so depressed I had to turn it off. So sorry for people who will be affected by this chaos and anarchy.

I work in the City near the Tower of London which is unaffected. The thugs seem to be targeting shopping areas for looting purposes. Watford is also quiet although I live in the outskirts so again would be OK I guess. Its all terrible and so bad for London's image with the Olympics next year. I really hope it all calms down soon for everyone's sake.

I have only one thing to say about this.

Message to all the rioters .......... . u wanna be big men and fight to the death , well get your sorry little arses on the next plane to Afghanistan and stand alongside real men , they're called soldiers and they are fighting a war unlike you bunch of pathetic wastes of space !!

Hope you and Vera are alright Bob,I noticed they were playing up in Notts.Not being flippant about your town but am an old (very old)Boots girl and we always said Notts.
