New Years Honours List

Hi

It is that time of year again.

Who should get an Honour?

I cannot think of a single Politician who should get one.

Locally there are a couple, two in particular who work in Mental Health and a local fundraiser.

Some very good people got honours thsi year.
After all they have to be nominated and I understand anyone can nominate someone for an honour.

Absolutely. I'd love John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) to be offered one. See where he tells the Queen to shove it...

As long as none of the revolting Beckhams are on it - I don't really care.
It ceased to be an 'honourable' award years ago.

Re: New Years Honours List

It just needs tweaking and all the celebs taken off it, no one would moan about if it were all normal people who do extraordinary things. It amazes me the people organising are so far from real lives they don't know just a small tweak would shut most people up.

Does she do a lot for charity ? that's usually the answer we are given as if the people who aren't famous but still do that work too aren't worthy.

And politicians too, and "hereditary peers".
