Re: Xmas food

I won't be buying anything different from normal, I'm fat enough, I don't need any help in that department!

Seriously, I don't eat any different over Christmas to normal.

Same here Nicol

Ok I do buy different meat and poultry but we still only eat breakfast and dinner and don't pig out on cakes and sweets in-between

Re: Xmas food

We have a tiny coop really expensive in walking distance, any other shops are a car ride away.

As for Christmas we've started buying and making already. Its going to be a big one this year, we've survived as a family we are going to celebrate.

Re: Xmas food

I love my little local co-op but we have bigger supermarkets close by, closest one is Waitrose...daft prices there though.

I'm still not sure what's happening at Christmas except on Christmas Eve ...a safari supper with pals.

Re: Xmas food

Christmas. a time for gross indulgence , overspending overeating all in order to celebrate the birth of a a poor Jew.

Somehow I don't think Jesus would approve of it all.

Re: Xmas food

Doesn't have to be so, we don't over indulge but we do make sure the dishes are special. I like to know everyone goes away feeling happy. I tend not to stuff a tomato or mushroom generally too fiddly but I'll make the effort for christmas.
