Aspartame

If it's in diet drinks, it's all i can taste regardless of flavourings
It has a horrible after taste

But what I want to know is how do you pronounce it?
I say Asper-tamm
Am I right?

Re: Aspartame

Can't say I've noticed a taste, after or otherwise. I drink diet Pepsi and that has it in.

And unlike Xylitol it's not toxic to dogs (piece of useless information there )

Re: Aspartame

Aspartame can be used as an ant killer.
It’can also cause diarrhea as do most other articulate sweetners. People who switch to artificial sweetners due to having diabetes often complain about these very symptoms.
It’s not a good thing to consume and I’m surprised it’s even on the market.

I agree Bratti...I do try as much as I can to avoid anything with this in but its a very common additive sugar substitute.

I would pronounce it A spar tame ....Rhian

Hi Nicol...I too eat the sugar free, hard Werther's and tolerate them just fine... There are however...as you say, some sugar free candy, that one should definitely refrain from eating...for the reason you pointed out.
