Do you have a favourite painting

Do you have a favourite painting or piece of art work, maybe something that holds special memories ?


I am not a religious person but love the painting below.
When I left home aged 15 to work in a 'live in' job I was scared and lonely.

On my day off I would go into the local town and having no money to spend would gaze at the lovely things in the shop windows.
This print caught my eye, it is called The Guardian Angel by Lauren Ford. I resolved to buy a copy of the print and eventually managed to save up enough money from my £1 a week wage to buy a small version of the print.

Back in my small room I used to spend ages looking at all the little animals and birds hidden in the picture, for a time I could lose myself there and escape from my 'real life'.
