Daylight Saving and Bathurst 1000

Put your clocks forward 1 hour tonight.

Summer is on its way!

...and tomorrow it is the Bathurst 1000 from Mount Panorama, a shadow of its former self but I shall probably watch it.

Why is it a shadow of what it was? What have they done with it?

Let me count the ways:

• They have put concrete walls all round the track.
• Added a chicane at the end of the long straight.
• Use a safety car.
• The V8 Supercars are fake cars ie nothing like the cars you can buy and which they pretend to be.
• They did away with the classes and amateur drivers.

When it was a proper race with proper cars on a public road.

Our clocks in the UK don't change til the end of October, and when they do they go back!
