Daylight Saving and Bathurst 1000
Don't Forget
Put your clocks forward 1 hour tonight.
Summer is on its way!
...and tomorrow it is the Bathurst 1000 from Mount Panorama, a shadow of its former self but I shall probably watch it.

Why is it a shadow of what it was? What have they done with it?

Let me count the ways:
They have put concrete walls all round the track.
Added a chicane at the end of the long straight.
Use a safety car.
The V8 Supercars are fake cars ie nothing like the cars you can buy and which they pretend to be.
They did away with the classes and amateur drivers.
When it was a proper race with proper cars on a public road.
