Pret A Manger Inquest
Teenager Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who had a severe sesame allergy died on BA flight after eating a baguette. The inquest was told that the company had made use of reduced allergen labelling requirements for shop-made food, which is intended to benefit smaller, independent stores.There had been other incidents before this tragedy.

HiIt is a complete and utter disgrace, I am livid.
It is an example of the failed policy of Self Regulation and the Home Authority system, so beloved of Government and big Companies.
The EHOs involved have not covered themselves in glory, the cross examination of the Heathrow EHO was excruciating.
The FSA are keeping well out of it, as usual,

This is such a sad case, I can not imagine what it was like on that plane for the father watching his daughter die, knowing there was not much they could do, I understand he even rang her Mother and Brother up to say goodbye to her, just so tragic
They really should have had their sandwiches with correct information on the labels , especially seeing as there had been numerous other cases before hand
