What shall we do with a drunken sailor ???

Seems the Royal Navy really have to answer this one, since several members of HMS QEII have been imbibing too freely.

They should be give a dishonourable discharge at the very least.

What for a sailor getting drunk.

We would not have any Armed Forces left.

Many companies and organisations now insist on a zero tolerance to alcohol and some even have breathalysers, fail that and it could lead to dismissal. Given the sensitivity of the equipment these people are responsible for then a harsher attitude to 'drunk and disorderly' is perhaps warranted.

Why single out British Navy crews enjoying their shore leave? Many crews from other nations get rat-arsed when enjoying a `night on the town`, it's not a new phenomenon or is this another thread just designed to take another dig at our armed forces?

They not only got drunk, which is bad enough, it was the behaviour they displayed whilst drunk, which should have them kicked out of the Navy.

Lets be fair here...I have tripped over a few drunken sailors in my time and those included Brits, US, Australian, Kiwi and probably half a dozen other navies.

Others would have been drinking but these prats got caught is all

Spot on, Judd.

If they were off watch and ashore "out of uniform" we should assume that they can do as we do!

Whoever put this in the media had no idea that these guys were off that ship - or even the support ships.

The Navy are totally "dry" at sea, and when on watch.

When they are not at sea, or on watch, they are just ordinary lads.

Been there, done that!

The poster ought to go and look at ordinary Brits in places like Benidorm or Shagaluf.

He might be surprised.
