Why? (Warning banal thread)

Why don't fitted sheets fit? They never want to go over the last corner.

Why don't duvets cover your feet when you pull them over your ears?

Why are there always odd socks? I have a bag of 25.

Any answers?

Any questions?

Why, if your a size 8 shoe, but quite often when you buy a size 8 it doesn't fit?

Why, when you order some trousers with a 29" (and the label states 29) inside leg they are too long? You measure them and they are 31"

Have these people ever heard of tape measures?

Odd socks. They get sucked into a vortex leading to another dimension. Someone, in another dimension, is scratching their heads thinking, " now, where did these odd socks come from!"

That one's not such a tricky one.

1) Tuck, snugly, one elasticated corner of sheet around mattress.
2) Grab diagonally opposite corner of sheet. Stretch elastic as far as possible.
3) With arms outstretched fling body across mattress in a belly flop.
4) This flattening manouvere fits sheet .. and flattens creases... and noses.

Works everytime

I had a problem with my dog nicking the odd sock when he was younger.

I have another (much better???) system Mortie darlin' - lift mattress off bed, tip until mattress is laying edge down at 45 o angle. Tuck the two (highest) corners of the sheet into place. Return mattress into normal position and stretch sheet to fit remaining two corners.

Re: Why? (Warning banal thread)

Sounds less crushing than a belly flop UJ .. using gravity.
I shall try that technique next time.
