I'm not a driver but I would say a 3D crossing would definitely slow you down and make you think twice.

Re: 3D zebra crossings

Depends on how drivers see them with their eyesight. Could cause some to maybe swerve

Gawd I get vertigo walking on pavements!
Yes, they could cause emergency stops!

Bad idea,

If you're unfamiliar with the road / area, that could make you jump on the anchors and / or swerve causing an accident.

Re: 3D zebra crossings

I think they might help slow traffic down but it wouldn't take long for local drivers to suss them out.

It could happen that once they have become a familiar sight, someone would put a few real chunks of wood (or something) in the road.

Re: 3D zebra crossings

It doesn't seem to have much effect in the video. I think things like this are confusing to the brain and would distract the driver from what's going on. So could be more hazardous in reality. I always slow down at a zebra anyway.

Re: 3D zebra crossings

They should be in my road, but as speed bumps, local neighbours don't speed but it would make the rat race people think a bit. Our road is a race track at certain times of the day.
