Hardly surprising

Just goes to show what this austerity policy is doing to the porrest sector of the community - all because those barstewards in the scumbag 'nasty party' have always had a 'downer' on the poor.

Re: Hardly surprising

Oh I see UJ, so that's why they've taken millions of the poorest out of income tax, raised the minimum wage, introduced the living wage and helped tens of thousands off benefits and got them back into work?

Nothing to do of course with the fact that many of those years were during the last labour government, who virtually bankrupted Britain and allowed the biggest financial crash since the 30's depression to happen and which we have been trying to recover from ever since?

The worry is that you actually believe this crap that you post daily, perhaps you should consider thinking things through for yourself rather than just posting opinions of others....

Re: Hardly surprising

It seems to me that our poorest people are those that have sneaked in and are expecting their free handouts.

Re: Hardly surprising

If the UK govt [any govt] cannot raise sufficient revenue through taxes collected - capital items for sale - amount of labor in the market then it is on the road to ruin. Now tell me in your opinion do you believe the govt is balancing the budget ie is collecting enough taxes and selling enough goods that it can provided sufficient high quality services to all of the popn that need them in what ever area [health; protection; transport etc etc]

if they can't then the country will slide into decline like say Mexico ; parts of Africa ; parts of SE Asia ; parts of the ME.

the equation is simple - what we can collect £ ; what we can sell £ = what we can afford to provide £

there's nothing difficult running a country you just need sane people!!

Once again total bullsh*t!!! the concept of a 'living wage' was introduced by Tony Bliar. The scumbags, 'benefit' programme is causing great hardship across the country as the scumbags try and get every claimant onto 'Universal Credit' - a benefit which even the National Audit Office has heavily criticised.

It's surely hard even for you to deny that it is a good thing for people to be weened off benefits and into work? It begs the question of course as to why they were on benefits in the first place? Welfare benefits are supposed to be a lifeline for those that are in real need, but under Labour governments they become a lifestyle choice for some less than honest layabouts, most of which have now hopefully been sussed out...
