Water Aid

https://www.wateraid.org/uk/

Our eldest daughter, a vicar, is also a very keen Guider. I asked she what she was doing with her group of Guides this evening, she said they were having a water splash for the UK charity, Water Aid. If they manage to raise £100+ the Guides get to pour a large bucket of ice cold water over her. Well naturally her father and I thought it would be most remiss if she missed out on that 'delight', so ensured it would happen.

Re: Water Aid

How do you know that the money is going to the charity? It could well be a con.

I know for a FACT it isn't a con, I trust my daughter implicitly she is organising it.

Personally I wouldn't trust anyone collecting money for charity (well apart from Barry's wife perhaps).

I only trust if I know for a fact that trust isn't misplaced, as in this case.

Should anyone be wasting water in the middle of a heat wave?

Good point. I would imagine that they will wait till this dry spell is over before wasting water.....won't they !

We haven't got a hosepipe ban, and I reckon they will be careful not to go overboard.
