A Halcyon day.

Yesterday found me at A nature reserve open day, usually a private reserve, this day aims to let people check out the site in the hope of attracting new members.

One of the best recruiters put in an appearance, yesterday, and it was great to be able to show this little beauty through our optics,

I have framed the first birthday card my husband sent me, before we were married. I was sixteen, it is a photo of a kingfisher.

Wow thats so lovely

Ive never seen a kingfisher and was so jealous when Mr Missy came home from work Friday and said he had seen a couple. Hes been building some decking over a river and had sat to admire the view when he saw them

How beautiful Nom, the colours are amazing

I’ve never seen a kingfisher but haven’t given up hope of a sighting one day.

I’m pleased you were able to get to the nature reserve in this hot weather.

Where we lived before, yards from a small river, we used to see kingfishers from time to time.
