Should I have a glass of wine?

..I can't decide. I did get a bottle of Malbec delivered with the rest of my Tesco shopping but I've already had my tea and don't normally drink whilst I'm not eating.

Do you drink on an empty stomach, with food or later on? I'll only be drinking half the bottle; I always do that and save the rest for the following day.

Will it affect the meds you are on?

No, not if I just stick to half a bottle. I couldn't get drunk - I don't know what that would do to me with my current health.

I'm not actually on any cancer drugs at the moment - I get those for the week after I've had chemo. Then there are about 30 to take in the morning, most of them being prednisolone.

Re: Should I have a glass of wine?

My husband has a small glass of single malt whisky on a Sunday lunchtime. He has five different lots of meds morning and evening so it isn't wise for him to over-indulge in alcohol. Fortunately he has never been a big drinker, so isn't bothered not to have alcohol anymore often than that.

I don't think I'll bother; I'll save it for tomorrow's meal.

Go for it mate,

I've just opened a bottle.
Tbh, I used to have a tipple in the evenings when I was on the cancer drugs and I didn't notice any odd effects...

Now I'm on the fence again, thanks to fender.

I actually had a cold meal today, a roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce followed by a fruit salad.

Re: Should I have a glass of wine?

I didn’t use to have any alcohol when I was on my chemo and my chemo lasts three days. I also never had any the day before I had my blood test and the day before my chemo. However, a chance remark to my chemo nurse and she said it was fine to have an odd glass and possibly even good. However not all chemo is the same. Ffosse why not have a 250ml glass and make it last three days!

Did you open the wine, Ffosse? Not good on an empty stomach by the way, maybe with a few cheese and biscuits?
