Oh No not like America

It seems that there is a growing demand for being allowed to own a gun. Please lets not go down that road like America, So many shootings ,so many deaths, its too easy to pick up & fire a gun when there is one there to use

It would be disaster if guns were permitted for self protection as in that crazy country across the pond. I would not like to see our police routinely armed either.

Hear hear. Let's just leave it as it is, and accept that the possession of firearms should remain with the criminal fraternity alone.

You got it. Is America any more safe for having so many of its citizens armed? No of course it isn't.

The rate of firearms fatalities there is forty times what it is here in UK. Forty times.

But, despite the blatantly obvious evidence, revoking the second amendment is seen as a vote loosing move - so it won't happen.

Re: Oh No not like America

I foresee a dreadful future.

Police either uninterested or incapable.

Courts favouring the criminal.

Criminals the only ones carrying firearms.

The innocent victims with no choice but to never leave their homes, and even then to sit in fear in case some armed criminal breaks in.

Am I the only one to worry about the inevitable consequences?

Do you have any expectation that gun laws are going to be relaxed?
