D Day

With all the brit bashing of late, thought today June 6th D Day was worth a mention.

A time in our history when many nations worked together to help those oppressed elsewhere.

Many payed the ultimate penalty, and today because of them we can enjoy our freedom.

Yes, thank you Nom. It's good to remember those young people that gave their lives. It seems not everyone appreciates it these days but I certainly do.

My Uncle took part in D-Day. He was in the 6th Airborne and was with Major Howard taking the Pegasus bridge over the canal.
