Small pleasures

The grumpy thread got me thinking I'd try this as a subject: what are the simple things, events, moments that make you smile and brighten your day?

I enjoyed a tour of a friend's perennial garden this afternoon. As she just moved into the house last November she doesn't know what's planted so we poked about and speculated over the least recognizable foliage.

Plantman lol, the greatest thrill is going out into the garden and seeing new shoots coming through, bliss

My first mug of coffee in the morning with a 'tot' of Brandy or Rum added - delicious!!!

One of the simple things that gives me pleasure Annie Jack, is when my two grandsons laugh at my 100 year old jokes, they think we were all nuts years ago, maybe they are right.

The innocence of my grandson. The other day I got a new purple Black Berry. He wanted to know the name of my phone. I said it's a Black Berry and he gave me this dumbfounded look: "But granny, isn't it a purple berry?"

Sweet. Nothing beats that!

My gorgeous wee Papillon jumping up on the Bed in the morning to kiss me awake and then me turning to my lovely Hubby and kissing and cuddling him awake in turn

One of my most enjoyable small pleasures is a walk in the woods. There are a thousand things to photograph that fascinate me. Nature is so wondrous that I never get tired of exploring. Here's a berry bush with its tiny blossoms ready to grow fruit.
