I live on a hill...

And this is how much water there was on the floor after 2 minutes of rain a little earlier
My daughter was further down towards town driving with her boyfriend and she says it was bubbling up through the grids there

Re: I live on a hill...

We had rainfall like that in 2007 and ended up with nearly 3 feet of water in the house. Completely trashed the entire downstairs, took nearly a year to put right and cost something in the region of £70,000.

Thank goodness for house insurance

I still panic when it rains heavily or when it’s forecast.

Re: I live on a hill...

Good grief Nicol, that's awful! I really don't know how you or anyone else suffering flooding, copes. It's happening too often now isn't it? I wonder why?

I know I wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm not even insured for flooding
