Listening ???

Why is it people listen and then put their own interpretation on what was said. I often find it very hard to get a direct answer to a direct question, politicians excel in this dept

Because they unconsciously translates what they hear into something they can understand. Do you speak to a lot of politicians?

I don't speak to them personally but I have heard them on TV and Radio programmes - so I know exactly what Realspeed means !

Don't ask a Direct Question, ask half a dozen Indirect Questions, then overlay the responses, some folks make a living doing that.

What I have done is, get up, go to the doctors, took the dog out, planted plants...
