Second hand Kit.
My friend recently bought a bag of cameras from Ebay, a mixed bag and among them the first entry level Canon DSLR a 300d.
You can pick them up for about £30 on the net, i have been out testing it with my birding lens !00-400mm and im happy with it so far.
I found this hybrid Canada goose on the lake probably crossed with a Barnacle goose.
For comparison here is a Canada Goose, im pleased with the feather definition on this bird.
Despite the cold weather the Grebes have again laid, bt the nest site was exposed, and the egg disappeared over night.
Luckily they have rebuilt at a safer position already.
So im quite pleased with the results of this 15 year old camera its only 6 megapixels, it will be interesting to see how it performs on macro (close-up) photography.

In the race for ever more pixels, some snappers forget how good some old digi cameras perform. Good shots Nom. I have a mint Olympus Camedia C-7070 wide angle compact camera with pro glass and aimed at the pro snapper as a side camera to ghis DSLR. I call it the world's most ugly product and built like a tank. Here is one.
