Any Suggestions/Advice Please?

My friends S.I.L is very ill,my friend doesnt think she will get better and is worried about how her nephew will cope.He is[ in his 40s/early 50s] mentally a bit 'backward 'been sheltered by his Mother doesnt know how to cope with anything [his Father died about a year ago ].My friend lives quite a distance from him and is ill herself so cant do much. I wonder if a mental health team can help but she wouldnt know where to go for help.Any suggestions. He has no other relatives

The mental health side of social services will. They are usually based at the local hospital.

The Social Services should be the first point of call, imo.

I know a young man like that. He lives in sheltered housing, has meals delivered to him daily and a team of social workers keep an eye on him.

Contact Social Services - either directly or through the GP.
