Sainsbury's !

Zoomed in there at 7:00am and had a shock - there were 4 of us! I normally have the place to myself at that time of day.

The store has recently been revamped to accommodate Habitat and Argos - so nothing was where it used to be. At one time there was, at least, a little logic to how the shelves were stacked. This morning I wanted sea salt crystals - were they with the other condiments? No, they were in the baking section. Worcestershire sauce also took some finding - it was with the cooking sauces. The magazines and DVDs are now over next to the cat/dog food. Totally insane. I bought exactly what I had gone for and hurried out of there !

A dastardly plan to make you explore all areas and put extra goodies in your basket. They all do it !

Re: Sainsbury's !

I seem to have changed my shopping habits recently, I'm buying more locally and avoiding large supermarkets if I can. I still go to them for cat food and toiletries but apart from that nothing much.

I avoid them like the plague, Summer, apart from cleaning products, packets of dried goods and tinned stuff - which isn't much. If I really have to go - then I am there at 7:00am when they open. No screaming brats or gossiping aisle blockers!!

There's a very simple answer to this conundrum darlin' - shop on line and get the staff to deliver your goods to you!!!

Sounds like a plan if only I could get up and organised in the mornings

That is exactly why I don't buy fresh food online Tabby
With 5 cats, online shopping is good for getting what the cats need & I will also buy tinned goods, cleaning items and occasionally a loaf of bread for my freezer.
When I want fish, meat , vegetables or fruit I always go to the shops and, where possible, use local shops that I know!

Re: Sainsbury's !

As a family we have boycotted Sainsbury’s for the last three years, since their faulty car wash severely damaged my car, which required a new wing and bumper. In fact our lawyers are still wrangling with them, there is even CCTV evidence but still Sainsbury’s deny responsibility. So they will never get a penny of our money, nor will we use Argos now that they have moved into the store.
