Tulips of Palm Sunday

During Palm Sunday services today I noticed a vase of beautiful tulips. The sunshine we had today hadn't reached them yet so they were all closed. I loved the play of color and texture contained in the petals.

That's a stunning photo, Bob - the detail is so clear.

More proof that a pocket digital camera can take "worthy" photos.

This was taken with my little pocket Leica V-Lux 20.

Here's the same vase an hour later, after the sun opened the blossoms. I don't like the composition as well or the lighting.

Truly wonderful pictures, Thank you for sharing.

We are so luucky to have our seasons and the rewards they bring us, they all have a different slant, I particularly like late Autumn when the farmers have gathered their harvest and you get the harvest festivals. I especialy enjoy a good mheillea.
