National treasure.

I'm not sure exactly what makes people a national treasure but IMO they are rare creatures so I was a bit put out when Jane macdonald was described as one on the advert for her latest show.

Would you rank Jane as a national treasure have I got it wrong ?

Er no - I'd rank her as a lucky singer who got a break on a cruise ship.

Actually, I wouldn't call anyone a national treasure.

She certainly helped the Tourist trade up in the Hebrides with Her small ship cruising show,,,but I don't really know much else about Her...except that Her Name starts with a Mc (Irish) not a Mac (Scottish)

Jane McDonald?! Lol! She had one mawkish hit in the 90s and vanished for over 20 years.
She's a third-rate cabaret act who'll be bawling out that song on North Sea ferries when she's in her eighties!

National treasure? Give it to Johnny Rotten. He did far more to shake up the music biz.
