Beachcombing does anyone do it on here?

Every time we go away on holiday be it over the weekend or main holidays were down on the beach collecting shells, sea glass, rocks and pebbles, it's very therapeutic. I found an Amethyst in it's raw form last year and sometimes people leave things that are washed up like a beach bucket that i kept for my finds

Culminates in a bad back, but I might suffer that in an attempt to rid the beaches of plastic waste.

Your right my back is aching from this weekends collecting and yes we were disgusted by the plastic waste. Luckily they had some volunteers picking it up, they even had lobster pots that had been washed up!

So much rubbish on lots of beaches, it's a nightmare walking my dogs and trying to stop them picking up all sorts of undesirable bits and pieces. I prefer the countryside where people haven't contaminated it so much.

Speaking of proper beach combing though, I find much of the south coast to be sterile, something to do with over fishing and scraping the sea bed by EU fleets I believe.
