Back to reality

Just had a fabulous weekend away with a group of my girlfriends, it was so fun filled and we laughed such a lot. We visited Bridlington, ate fish on the harbour, looked around giftshops, played in the amusements, had a little bet on the geegees (amusement park) and I won twice! We walked on the promenade, looked around the shops, I bought a pair of trousers and a lovely top. Last night we decided to go back to the caravan and drink some wine and play dominoes, we all got tiddly and laughed the night away. Oh what a lovely weekend I've had but all good things must come to an end as the saying goes and back to work tomorrow. I will remember my little break away with fondness. I hope your weekend has been funfilled too.

That will have done you the world of good and given you happy memories to go back to on a dull day.
Good for you.

Re: Back to reality

Sounds lovely LQ I hope it wasn't too chilly.

It has been the best day of the year here sunny and not too cold. I got lots done in the garden so I am feeling 'fulfilled' too

Fantastic, Lion Queen. Glad you had a good time.
Brid is okay, I live just thirty miles away and we go there quite often.

Re: Back to reality

You chose a good weekend Lion Queen, it’s been a gorgeous day today. There’s been a lot of negativity about Brid recently so it’s good to hear what a happy time you had!

It's a shame, Val because with all the cash spend on Hull's City Of Culture and there's always support for Scarborough, I feel that Bridlington are being left out of things regularly these days.
They should rebuild the harbour as a marina as they keep trying to do, but there never seems to be any money for it.

Has Bridlington got a race track of some sort?

Don't believe so Rhian.
There's one nearby in Beverley which is a well known one.
