Do you consider yourself fortunate?

I consider myself fortunate because my husband and I get on well with our children. They tease me like crazy, which I enjoy, but they look out for us too.

My digital artwork has given me so much satisfaction since I first started creating my pictures in 2000. Of course it is nice to sell a piece of work, but I can honestly say I get much more pleasure creating a picture, for free, for someone. People have been kind enough to say they like my artwork. As it is digital I can send it by e-mail to the recipient, people in quite a number of countries have my work.

My husband and I like the home in which we are living, it is in a pleasant neighbourhood.

OK so life is not perfect, but on the whole I think the good outweighs the bad where I am concerned.

Re: Do you consider yourself fortunate?

I'm fortunate to have a wonderful wife, two great stepdaughters and two lovely grandkids. I have some great friends, a good social life and my health is pretty good.
There are downsides too such as financial and work issues but having a good family and being in good health are the most important things in life.

Most definitely, I have survived cancer twice. How much more fortunate can one get?

Re: Do you consider yourself fortunate?

ABSOLUTELY!!!!
I have a man I love , who loves me and treats me well. I’ve got friends and family whom I adore. I have carved a lifestyle for myself doing the things I love. Most days I spend singing and laughing because I feel I can never get enough of those things.
Yep! I’m one lucky lady.
Gratitude goes a l-o-n-g way.

Extremely fortunate. I have everthing I need and every one I need in my life. One or two minor health issues but those are being attended to. Life is good.

Funny I was only talking about good and bad fortune earlier today Tarantula.
Yes I have been very fortunate all my life, I’m also a contented man and never had big ambitions.

Re: Do you consider yourself fortunate?

I'm very fortunate to be married to a man I adore, who treats me like a queen, doesn't put me down and loves me just as much even after 41 years.
I have my health, a roof over my head, I eat well, keep warm in my home, we have 2 cars and can afford holidays. I have a lovely circle of friends, great social life and I have my dad, a son, niece, nephew & GtAuntChildren I adore too and not forgetting my little dog and feisty parrot. I also have a job I really enjoy and work colleagues have become good friends. I also had a beloved Sister and Mother who have passed.
Oh yes, indeed I am blessed.
Just wish Heaven had visiting hours
RIP my Mother & Sister who are deeply sadly missed.

Yes, on balance, I consider myself fortunate. I have food, books, music, one or two great friends, my sister - health could be better but I have wonderful doctors and specialists in whom I trust.

Re: Do you consider yourself fortunate?

Yes I do,I have a lot of health issues, including cancer, but they are under control.and I just pop my pills, but I have a warm comfortable home,a son who lives with me I can still get around and do most things myself, caring friends,a lovely dog, I live fairly close to buses and have access to free community transport to take me to shopping hospital ,clinic,[ this is not always available, but most times lucky].There are many who cannot get out, orin a home, many who do not have any family. So yes I do feel fortunate

Re: Do you consider yourself fortunate?

Things don't always go smoothly, and life can be difficult, but I know at heart that I could be a lot worse off.

Some would give their right arm to have a roof over their head, let alone one that's bought and paid for. I have my little garden which I enjoy, friends, hobbies, and my dogs love me.

I don't need much more to be content.
