Farmers... How true This Is..

So many hate the farmers
they don't like tractors on the roads
especially those with trailers
and a slow and heavy load.

They moan about the cattle
they complain they hear them moo
and phone up to say the bale stack
is blocking up their view.

But when the roads are icy
and then it starts to snow
and they're stuck on hills and ditches
and can't get their car to go

The first one that they phone up
is the guy down on the farm
they know he's got a tractor
and it can't do any harm

and suddenly he's a hero
with a tractor and a rope
the first one that they call out
when they cannot cope.

And he always takes the call out
he doesn't want your money
he'll do his best to help you
I think it's rather funny

Because they will soon forget him
when the snow has gone away
and they're stuck behind his trailer
loaded up with hay.

The bad farmers like in anything give the good ones a bad name sadly.

We don't have Dairy Moos May, they are Beef Moos, with only enough milk for their young.

Our community relies on the farmers for just about everything - not just the food they rear or grow

The young farmers in particular are a great asset. They work tirelessly raising money for charities and if there’s a hand needed they are there

People who don’t like the noise, the smell and the inconvenience of tractors on the road need to move back to the towns

I quite agree about the tractors and I don't normally get frustrated driving behind one unless it's for a really long time. It appears the tractors have been helping out a lot over the past few days so a big thanks to them.

I would also like to mention the 4x4 owners who have also been helping out where possible despite the crap they normally get from the pious.

Nothing IMO, I have one myself, but there are those that berate them - I bet a few people have been glad to see one turn up recently.
