Snowy Garden

Never know this area to have snow like this for years. More to come tomorrow also. The sun did come out for a while.

Re: Snowy Garden

Lovely Tiff, I particularly like the third one with the bird house.

I have got a couple too, but haven't taken them off the camera yet.

Re: Snowy Garden

What is unusual is the low temperatures hence the lying snow. I don't believe it got above -2.4c in Edinburgh today which is quite remarkable given the last day of February, last day of Winter proper. Hence everything stuck and became crunchy, then fresh snow fell again and again. Average temperature here on February 28 is 7c and 2c - hardly ever any snow, yet today was much like December 2010.

Quite beautiful in your photos but treacherous on city streets for those with dangers of falling.

Ffosse, I just saw on the telly, that Edinburgh and Glasgow are now on Red Alert for weather. Apparently that is only the second time this has ever happened.

Sorry Tiffany, interrupting your thread - I'll clear off.

Re: Snowy Garden

I've already interrupted it - thinking about footwear for tomorrow - I have a pair of yellow caterpillar boots I think I'll wear just to be safer from sliding about.

Re: Snowy Garden

Hi, Tiffany! I am thoroughly enjoying all the snow photos. Isn't it interesting how different the planet is? It's been warm here, over 23 C, and the last couple of days the dolphins and anihingas have been fishing behind the house while I have been spring cleaning...
