Jeremy Corbyn Speech Today?

Watched the Corbyn Speech today (26th Feb).

Was more than a little impressed with what he was saying.

I hope TM finds a way of offering whatever is required to top it.

No doubt that detractors, like me, will spend some time saying that he hasn't priced it all up, that he hasn't thought is all through......but promises mean much more than reality these days.

Minor Issues I saw were :-

1) He kept talking towards his middle left part of the audience. Was it his prompter or his bosses who were there?

2) Any applause was brief and didn't sound very sincere. I think it was the same 10 people clapping!

Not at all please with the customs union idea. But that's just one thing it's his domestic policies I'm more interested in because I have a feeling by time he gets into number ten Brexit will be done.

I'm surprised they didn't use canned laughter.

Michael Deacon in the Telegraph today reckons that the only journalists who got to ask questions at the end, were from the left wing papers like the Guardian and Independent etc, plus some from Labour Activists. If you were slightly right of centre your raised hand was ignored. Stage managed or what?

I think he knows if he comments to others it'll just get twisted, why would anyone bother knowing that.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn Speech Today?

If you don't allow questions and debate surely it suggests that you have something to hide. That your ideas or proposals won't stand up to scrutiny. The Left wing press ask enough questions of the right. No wonder he wants to stifle the press.

Yesterday, on the Daily Politics show, I watched Lisa Nandy a Labour politician attempt to talk over Nigel Farage so his criticism of Corbyn's Speech couldn't be heard. A common tactic used by Labour these days to stifle debate. The older legitimate members of the Labour party who believed in debate before they were silenced by Momentum, must be wincing at what is being perpetrated in their name. Time they stood up and were counted.

Both left and right are as bad as each other on that though. Listening to parliament is painful these days. Quieter in a nursery of two year olds.
