The good things about being over 50.
Ageing isn't a lot of fun, especially as its ultimate destination looms larger!....however personally at the age of 60 I find there are good things about being older. I am more patient. I am more thoughtful and I am not as quick to judge people. I am also a lot more tolerant of some things (though less of others!). I understand the impatience of youth and the shallowness of wanting 'stuff' and most of all the temporariness of things.
How about you?

Agree with all that. It's perspective. I think: lots of little things that would really have been a big bother are seen to be really unimportant in the big picture. And worrying about what people are thinking about you: they think of you far less than you think they do! Enjoyment of the small things: a lovely meal, hearing from an old friend, a beautiful sunset .... little things. And not having to go to work ever again!!!14-03-2011, 07:42 AM

Security! Who would be 18 again, with all those insecurities?
Confidence! I've already done most things at least once.
Respect! The young ones have to earn it yet.
Memories! You're the only one who can make them.
I'm sure there's a whole heap more reasons of feeling good about yourself at 50+!

I think any age has good things about it.Younger than a Teenager, you have no worry's and responsibilties.
Teenager, you know everything so nothing bothers you.
Twenties gaining knowledge that you can use in future
Thirties Using that knowledge.
Forties, looking at how you used the knowledge and what you achieved.
Fifties, seeing how the things you learnt helped you.
Sixties what you learnt helps you to relax and enjoy life
Seventies, not a care in the world and living life to the full
Eighties, I'll let you know if I am lucky enough to get there.
