It's so nice to....

....open my small computer and type on a real keyboard.

As some of you may know, I was in hospital for 10 days recently so my only point of contact with the outside world electronically was via my iPhone.

Don't get me wrong: It was fine for calls, texts, the odd ebook but posting on boards like this was tortuous - I had lots of typos and half the time I couldn't see whether I had posted properly or whether my meaning had come acrosss.

I know what you mean Ffosse our fingers seem like tree trunks when using iPhone for posting Glad you are home again back to some normality

I find a stylus pen useful if I have to use my phone to write. The metal tipped ones are best.

But I haven't used a keyboard since I got my iPad it actually feels odd to do so.

Glad you are out of hospital though and hope you are feeling better.

Ffosse, l am pleased to read that you are back in your own home now but will you miss the meals being served to you all day?
Anyway, you sound much more upbeat and that’s good!

The meals were fantastic - well cooked and ample. The trouble was that they started me on steroids which caused great hunger and pangs of munchies during the day.

I start reducing the steroids today and so far I've only had a small bowl of Alpen today.

I always use my phone! I have a Galaxy Note 8 so it has a big screen and a pen.

I prefer my smart phone for posting on forums.

Actually I use my phone or tablet more then I use my laptop

Think I can type faster with my thumbs

Even though I have the iPhone X with the 5.8" screen, it was still slow using forums; I had to be consciously dexterous.
